23–24 June
On the evening of 23 June the harbour of Naoussa (and, smaller, Aliki and Prodromos) lights the Klidonas bonfires: the dried May wreaths go on the fire, kids and the local dance group jump over it, and the cultural association hands out meze and wine with violin and laouto. It is a short, early-summer event rather than an all-nighter, so turn up around 21:00 and stay for the dancing on the quay.
one evening in the first half of July (2 July per the municipality; 22 July in 2023)
The fishermen and the Naoussa cultural association fry fresh fish on the old harbour and hand it out free with local wine, followed by an island glenti with violins and dancing until late. Dates drift from year to year (the municipal calendar says early July, but it has also been held in the third week), so check posters in Naoussa a week ahead. Parking in Naoussa is hopeless that night; come by bus or early.
16–17 July
Kostos, the small hill village between Parikia and Lefkes, keeps the Agia Marina feast on 16-17 July: vespers on the eve, then tables in the square with food from the village association and violin-and-laouto dancing. It is one of the few proper mountain-village panigiria on Paros and much less touristy than anything in Naoussa. Park on the main road below the village and walk up.
26–27 July
Both Kostos and Prodromos have a chapel of Agios Panteleimon and hold a village feast for the saint on the evening of 26 July, with food and island music. The municipal tourism page lists this feast under two wrong dates (26 June and 26 August), so treat 26-27 July as the correct one and confirm locally. Prodromos is the easier of the two to reach and has the bigger square.
two days in the second week of August (8-9 August in 2025)
Prodromos bakes its revithada, the slow-cooked chickpea stew that goes into the wood oven on Saturday night, and serves it free to everyone in the village square over a two-day programme of music, dancing and food stalls organised with the municipality. Arrive early on the main evening because the pots run out, and expect to park along the road outside the village.
first Saturday after 15 August
The Yria Lefkon association cooks the big local snails (karavoloi) three ways, in tomato sauce, fried, and with skordalia and potatoes, plus chickpeas, pork, Parian cheeses and local wine, on tables under the pines by the community hall and the open-air theatre. About 800 seats, roughly double that in people, and the balos and syrtos go on until 6 in the morning. Come before 21:00 to get a table; the road up from Parikia is narrow and parking is on the verge.
5–6 August
Marpissa's parish church is dedicated to the Transfiguration, so 5-6 August is the village's own feast: a bishop's liturgy on the day, and the night before a panigiri in Papa-Giorgis Stamenas square with food, wine and live island music. Aliki on the south coast holds a smaller Sotiros feast the same evening, often with a fish festival on the beach. Marpissa's lanes are car-free; park at the entrance by the main road.
14–15 August

23 August
On 23 August, the ninth day after the Dormition, Naoussa's Women's Association ends its Enniamera bazaar and the village youth stage the Koursariko: around 21:00 boats with torches sweep into the old harbour, 'pirates' dressed as Barbarossa's men (who sacked Naoussa in 1537) snatch the girls, the locals fight back, and it all dissolves into a panigiri with violins, dancing and wine on the quay. Revived in the 1960s and held every year since. Get to the harbour by 20:00 for a spot by the water.
26–27 August
The fishing hamlet of Ampelas, east of Naoussa, keeps the feast of Agios Fanourios with vespers at the chapel on the evening of 26 August and a small panigiri with fanouropita, meze and island music by the water. It is a local, low-key evening; combine it with dinner at one of the fish tavernas on the beach.
28–29 August
Lefkes' second big night: on 28-29 August, for the Beheading of St John, the village feasts at the chapel of Ai-Giannis Kaparos with food from the association, wine and violin-laouto dancing in the square. The same evening the monastery of Agios Ioannis Detis in the Paros Park at Kolymbithres holds its vespers, so some people do both. The village is pedestrian; park at the top by the bus stop.
7–8 September
Marmara, the farming village next to Marpissa, celebrates the Nativity of the Virgin at its church of Panagia Faneromeni with a liturgy on 8 September and a panigiri the evening before, with food, wine and island dancing in the square. A good, unhurried September feast once the crowds have gone.
13–14 September
For the Exaltation of the Cross the parish of Agkairia holds its liturgy with kerasmata afterwards, and in the evening the dance groups perform and the tables come out down on the seafront at Aliki. It is the last of the summer panigiria in the south of the island.
25–26 September
Dryos on the south-east coast keeps the autumn feast of St John the Theologian (26 September) with a panigiri on the evening of the 25th from about 21:00: local food, wine and island music and dance groups by the harbour. The same chapel also celebrates on 8 May with a smaller gathering.
Dates are resolved for 2027: fixed saint's days as they fall, movable feasts computed from Orthodox Easter (2027: 2 May). Panigiria are usually held on the eve of the saint's day, and a village occasionally shifts one to the nearest weekend — where an entry says "confirm locally", the date comes from recent years' announcements rather than an official calendar.
