7–8 May · Agios Ioannis (Cave of Antiparos)
The chapel of Agios Ioannis at the mouth of the famous cave celebrates St John the Theologian on 8 May, with vespers on the 7th and a panigiri on the terrace outside: traditional dances, kerasmata, local dishes and wine. It is Antiparos's best-known feast and a rare chance to be at the cave with locals rather than tour groups.
23–24 June · Antiparos (Chora)
On the evening of 23 June the May wreaths from the doorways are collected and burned on the waterfront, children jump the fires and the local dance group performs the Klidonas custom, with kerasmata and music afterwards. Small and genuinely local; it is over by midnight.
16–18 July · Antiparos (Chora)
Antiparos turns the feast of Agia Marina (17 July) into a three-day harbour festival around 15-17 July: a sailing race, a swim and a street run in the days before, then the icon procession on the 17th, prize-giving for the athletes, dancing, songs and kerasmata on the quay. It is the island's main summer event, so book a room if you want to stay over.
7–8 September · Faneromeni, south Antiparos
The whitewashed chapel of Panagia Faneromeni on the wild southern tip of Antiparos can only be reached by caique or a long dirt track, and on 7-8 September the whole island goes out there for the Nativity of the Virgin with food and wine after the liturgy. Ask at the harbour a day or two ahead about boats leaving for the feast.
Dates are resolved for 2027: fixed saint's days as they fall, movable feasts computed from Orthodox Easter (2027: 2 May). Panigiria are usually held on the eve of the saint's day, and a village occasionally shifts one to the nearest weekend — where an entry says "confirm locally", the date comes from recent years' announcements rather than an official calendar.
