14 March
On the last Sunday of Carnival the big village of Falatados stages a themed parade with satirical floats, traditional instruments and a raki-fuelled street party, the largest carnival on Tinos. Nearby Agapi does the 'Makaronas' straw-effigy procession ending in a communal pasta meal, and Triantaros reads out satirical verses on Carnival Thursday.

Second great Marian feast at the Church of Panagia. Smaller than August but still significant — and this is when the icon was discovered in 1823.
first Sunday of May · Vrysiotissa monastery, near Tarampados
On the first Sunday of May the icon of the Virgin is carried in procession from the church in Tarampados to the monastery of Vrysiotissa, where an open-air liturgy is held and cars and pickups are lined up to be blessed. Afterwards the villages nearby offer kerasmata. A rural Tinos scene few visitors see.
Saturday nearest 24 June (27 June in 2026)
Myrsini, a small village in the middle of Tinos, revives the Ai-Giannis Fotaras custom: bonfires in the square, jumping over the flames, then a glenti with violin and laouto (Karamanis and Theologitis in 2026), free entry and food and drink sold by the village association. It is moved to the nearest Saturday, so check the Tinos Today panigiria list each June.
a Saturday in the last week of July (25 July in 2026)
Dyo Choria, a village of springs and plane trees above the Chora-Steni road, celebrates the wild oregano its people gather on the mountain with a glenti in the square: oregano-flavoured dishes and meze from the association, wine and violin-and-laouto (Tsoumpos and Manesis in 2026) until late, free entry. Parking is on the road above the village.
22–23 July · Kechrovouni monastery / Chora
On 23 July Tinos remembers the vision of the nun Pelagia that led to the finding of the icon in 1823: after great vespers on the 22nd, the icon of the Megalochari is driven up to the convent of Kechrovouni for the liturgy, pilgrims picnic in the fields around the monastery, and in the late afternoon the icon returns on foot in a procession that snakes 8 km down the mountain to Chora. Walk down with it, but wear shoes for it and bring water.
a Saturday in the second week of August (8 August in 2026)
The tiny valley village of Potamia, above Agios Fokas beach, throws a glenti for the capers that grow on its walls: caper salads and meze, local wine, and island dances to violin and laouto in the square until the early hours. One of the smaller Tinos festivals and one of the friendliest.
a Saturday around 22-23 August
Tripotamos, the wine village just inland from Chora, opens its barrels for a glenti in the square: local wine poured freely, meze from the association, and violin-and-laouto dancing until late. Held on a Saturday near the Enniamera of the Virgin (23 August in 2026). Ten minutes by car from the port, so easy to combine with a late ferry.
14–15 August · Tinos Chora
The largest religious pilgrimage in Greece. Pilgrims crawl the kilometre from the port to the Church of Panagia Evangelistria on hands and knees. Book accommodation months in advance.
first Saturday of September (5 September in 2026)
The last big glenti of the Tinos summer: Falatados fires up its still in the square, hands out fresh raki with meze, and the violins and laouta play until the early hours, free entry. Locals from all over the island come, so arrive by 21:00 and expect to park a long way down the road.
Dates are resolved for 2027: fixed saint's days as they fall, movable feasts computed from Orthodox Easter (2027: 2 May). Panigiria are usually held on the eve of the saint's day, and a village occasionally shifts one to the nearest weekend — where an entry says "confirm locally", the date comes from recent years' announcements rather than an official calendar.
