Milos and Paros both score 5.0 for beaches — and that's where the similarity ends. Milos is a geological event you swim around; Paros is a complete, polished Cycladic holiday machine.
Milos's seventy-plus beaches — Sarakiniko's white moonscape, Kleftiko's pirate coves, Tsigrado's ladder drop — are the strangest and most beautiful coastline in the Cyclades, and a boat trip around the island is non-negotiable. What it doesn't have is Paros's infrastructure: Naoussa's restaurant scene, Parikia's ferry hub connecting half the Aegean, a proper nightlife (5.0 vs Milos's 3.0), and better value in shoulder season. Paros's weakness is that fame has priced it up (2.2 affordability) and filled it up; Milos's is that its own fame is now catching up fast, and access still means fewer, fuller ferries (3.2).
Choose Milos if the trip is about the water and the rocks — couples, photographers, swimmers. Choose Paros if you want beaches plus everything else: food, ferries, nightlife, and a base for hopping. With 5–6 days, do both — they connect daily in summer.
