late July (29 Jul 2026), 21:00
The 'big panigiri of Ifaistia' is the summer night of Kontopouli, the main village of eastern Lemnos near ancient Hephaistia, organised by the Ifaistia sports club in the square from 21:00 with two bands (Dimitris Mavrakis's group and Nikos Fakaros & the Musicaroi in 2026). Island and traditional music, dancing until late, food from the club. Date is set each year in late July; check limnosfm100.gr.
16–17 July
The 'Argonautes' club of Androni, just outside Myrina, opens the Lemnos panigiri season with Agia Marina on the evening of 16 July in the village park, and repeats the formula for Agios Panteleimon on 26 July with a full Lemnian orchestra (Mavrakis family violins in 2026). Souvlaki, local wine and island dances; ten minutes from Myrina by car. Nea Koutali and Livadochori also keep Agia Marina with church feasts.
25–26 July
Thanos, the village behind the best beaches south of Myrina, keeps Agia Paraskevi with vespers on 25 July and liturgy on the 26th at its parish church, followed by the village's summer feast. Myrina's own big church feast of Agios Panteleimon runs the same weekend (26-27 July). Easy from any Myrina hotel.
27–28 July
The 'Kechagiades' association of Tsimandria, in the flat farming centre of the island, throws its panigiri on the evening of 27 July (eve of Agia Irini Chrysovalantou) on the village five-a-side pitch: live Lemnian band, the association's dance groups, souvlaki, loukoumades and drinks, a raffle, 5 euro entry. Sponsored by the municipality. Tsimandria's 'Enniamera' feast on 23 August was cancelled in 2026, so do not count on that one.
mid/late August (18 Aug 2026), 21:00
The 'Astrapi' club of Romanos, a village in the centre of the island, holds a traditional August panigiri in the square with a full Lemnian orchestra (violin, bouzouki, percussion and singers), food and drink on site; tables are reserved by phone. Not tied to a saint, so the date moves within the second half of August. Atsiki (Agios Ermolaos) and Lychna (Agios Fanourios, 26 August) hold similar association nights the same fortnight.
a Saturday in early/mid August (9 Aug 2026), 21:30
Fysini, the small village in the remote south-east of Lemnos next to the monastery of Agios Sozon, holds its summer panigiri on a Saturday in the first half of August, run by the 'Agios Sozon' cultural association: island music, dancing and local food from 21:30. It is the same community that keeps the island's big Agios Sozon feast at the monastery on 7 September. Long drive from Myrina (about an hour); the beach below is one of the wildest on the island.
6 August
The cultural association of Pedino celebrates the village church's feast on the evening of 6 August in the square of Neo Pedino, central Lemnos: free entry, live music 'until morning', food and drink from the association. A typical Lemnian village panigiri, 15 minutes from Myrina, and one of the few kept on the saint's day itself rather than the eve.
14–16 August
The Athonite metochi of Panagia tis Trygis ('of the Vintage') at Propouli in north-west Lemnos, a chapel of 1706 with a rare icon of the Virgin in white, is the island's main Dormition pilgrimage: services from the 13th, liturgy and procession on the morning of the 15th, vespers at 17:00, served by monks of Simonopetra. Hundreds come from all over the island; combine with Myrina's own Koimisis parish feast (14-15 August).
22–23 August
The historic chapel of Zoodochos Pigi at Kotsinas, by the statue of Maroula on Bournia bay, keeps the ninth day after the Dormition with festive vespers at 19:30 on 22 August and liturgy at 07:30 on the 23rd. A quiet, scenic feast rather than a party; the underground spring beneath the church is the reason people come.
26–27 August
On the eve of Agios Fanourios (26 August) the cultural association of Lychna, near Moudros, fills the central square from 21:30 with a five-piece Lemnian band, plenty of food and drink and dancing, with the municipality as sponsor. Reservations by phone. The last big village night before the September Agios Sozon feast.
7 September
Patron saint of Lemnos. Pilgrimage to the church at Akti and surrounding panigiri.
Dates are resolved for 2027: fixed saint's days as they fall, movable feasts computed from Orthodox Easter (2027: 2 May). Panigiria are usually held on the eve of the saint's day, and a village occasionally shifts one to the nearest weekend — where an entry says "confirm locally", the date comes from recent years' announcements rather than an official calendar.
