DESCRIPTION:On 5 August the 16th-century monastery of Metamorfosi tou Sotiros above the Chora holds festive vespers with artoklasia at 8 pm\, often with Athonite monks concelebrating\, and the liturgy at 7.30 next morning. On the evening of the 6th the Dimos Skopelou stages the town's big open-air panigiri on the harbour front / KAPI courtyard with a name nisiotika singer (Nasia Konitopoulou in 2025)\, free to attend.
