DESCRIPTION:Marpissa's parish church is dedicated to the Transfiguration\, so 5-6 August is the village's own feast: a bishop's liturgy on the day\, and the night before a panigiri in Papa-Giorgis Stamenas square with food\, wine and live island music. Aliki on the south coast holds a smaller Sotiros feast the same evening\, often with a fish festival on the beach.
