DESCRIPTION:Kythira's biggest day. The miraculous icon — found in a myrtle bush in the 14th century — draws over a thousand pilgrims to the Myrtidia monastery. After the 9am liturgy the icon is carried in procession around the grounds behind the Potamos brass band\, with sweets and coffee handed out to everyone.
