DESCRIPTION:On 15 August the whole island crosses by caique to the uninhabited Kato Koufonisi for the liturgy at the church of the Virgin\, followed by a free meal of fish and meat in the courtyard and a panigiri with kerasmata and violins\; the return crossing is an informal race between the boats\, and the winner's crew is feasted again.
