DESCRIPTION:On 28-29 August the people of Olympos walk down to the underground church of Agios Ioannis at Vrykounta\, an ancient site on the far north coast: park at Avlona and walk about 90 minutes down the old path\, carrying a sleeping bag because everyone spends the night on the stone terraces around the church. Braised goat\, chickpea soup and loukoumades are served at long tables\, and the mantinades and dancing to lyra go on until dawn.
