DESCRIPTION:Elafonisos celebrates its union with Greece (6 July 1850) and the consecration of its harbour church together: bells and flags on the 6th\, and on the 9th a hierarchical liturgy with the Metropolitan of Monemvasia and Sparta followed by a procession of the icon of Agios Spyridon around the harbour with children in costume\, then cultural performances on the harbour square in the evening.
