23–24 June
On 23 June from about 20:30 the municipality and the Chora associations light the Klidonas fire in the Loza square, with the fortune-telling custom, traditional music and dancing. A short, friendly evening and the opening of Amorgos's summer.
30 June – 1 July
Tholaria above Aegiali celebrates its parish saints on 30 June-1 July: great vespers on the eve, liturgy and procession of the icons on the day, and both evenings the whole village eats patatato (goat with potatoes) and xydato (sour meat soup) in the square and dances to violin and laouto. Vegetarian dishes replace the meat if the feast falls on a fasting day. Stay in Aegiali and walk or take the shuttle up.
25–26 July · Kato Meria (Kolofana / Arkesini)
The biggest panigiri on Amorgos and one of the biggest in the Cyclades: at the church of Agia Paraskevi in the south of the island, the Kato Meria villages spend ten days preparing, slaughter around 150 goats, and on the evening of 25 July the patatato starts cooking in cauldrons for about 4,000 people who eat free at long tables on the 26th and dance to violins until morning. Bring a car or arrange a lift from Katapola; there is no bus back at 4 a.m.
26 July
On 26 July the harbour square of Katapola celebrates the island's honey-and-spice raki: you watch it being made, a boat arrives with dancers in costume, the musicians meet them on the quay, and everyone is handed psimeni raki, pasteli and anevates (raki cheese pies) before the dancing goes on into the small hours. It clashes with the Agia Paraskevi feast the same night, so locals pick one; Katapola is the easier one without a car.
5–6 August
Chora's own feast, held by the Simonidis association in the Loza square on 5-6 August: after the liturgy the village serves food and wine with live island music and dancing under the plane trees. Smaller than Agia Paraskevi but right in the middle of the prettiest village on the island.
14–15 August
Langada above Aegiali celebrates 15 August at the church of Panagia Epanochoriani (Panochoriani) up the hill; older pilgrims still ride donkeys up, and afterwards the village serves patatato and xydato with plenty of rakomelo, violins and dancing in the square through the night. The Archaia Arkesini association in Kato Meria holds a traditional food-and-dance evening the same day.
28–29 August
The village of Vroutsi in Kato Meria keeps the Beheading of St John with a panigiri on the evening of 28 August: goat patatato, wine and violins in the small square. A gentle end-of-August feast in the least visited part of the island.
20–21 November · Chozoviotissa Monastery, Chora
Feast of the Presentation at the dramatic clifftop monastery. Smaller crowds than 15 August festivals elsewhere — proper local atmosphere.
Dates are resolved for 2027: fixed saint's days as they fall, movable feasts computed from Orthodox Easter (2027: 2 May). Panigiria are usually held on the eve of the saint's day, and a village occasionally shifts one to the nearest weekend — where an entry says "confirm locally", the date comes from recent years' announcements rather than an official calendar.
